Welcome to Drayton State School

Drayton State School is a dynamic learning environment that provides quality curriculum for students from Prep to Year 6. We actively pursue our motto of ‘Honour and Success’ by striving for excellence and this is evident in our achievements throughout the school’s history.

Our school is nestled on the southern outskirts of Toowoomba. Our school offers a modern and progressive curriculum while continuing to embrace traditional values and inclusivity.

At Drayton State School we are committed to providing quality teaching and learning through explicitly teaching the Australian Curriculum and providing differentiated learning through the Gradual Release of Responsibility model.

We are a proud Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school, where our expectations of being Safe, Respectful and Responsible learners is explicitly taught and acknowledged. We have high expectations for all of our students in both their school work and behaviour, therefore our school values are embedded in all that we teach.

Our reputation for excellence has resulted from the commitment and dedication of our staff and students along with the partnership that exists between home and school. Our school has a strong connection to community that has been built from the first day the school opened in 1851.  I invite you to join with us and explore all that our school and community has to offer.

Carole Douglas,

Principal
